Culture Matters!
We all know through constant reporting in the press that cuts are coming and that those cuts will be severe to all budgets both nationally and locally. Culture is often seen as a soft target and if you ever access performing and visual arts, museums, libraries, sporting facilities, parks, community centres, children's play areas, festivals, Live at the Bandstand, etc. They are under threat.
Please post a note to your local councillor on our wall and we will make sure that it reaches them!
We suggest that in your post, you include your name, your ward and that you refer to the services that you use and demand that they are protected. If you are not sure of your ward, you can find that information here: http://www.portsmouth.gov.uk/media/DCE_councillorposter.pdf
If we don't make our voice heard now, we can't complain when cuts take place.
